Technique Tuesday: Faux Patina

This week's technique is Faux Patina.  This technique gives the effect of old copper which has been weathered.  It is a simple technique that gives an amazing effect.
Ink up an embossing folder with Crumb Cake and run a sheet of white cardstock through to ink and emboss.
Sponge over the top with Marina Mist to give the blue tint that is typical of patina.
Next, sponge with Always Artichoke to deepen the color and give an aged look.
Finally, press a VersaMark pad randomly over the cardstock and add gold embossing powder.
Then heat with a heat tool to get the shine that would still be seen on copper.
Once you have the look you want, just trim the paper to size and add it to your card.  Try different embossing folders and silver or copper embossing powder for different looks.
